At Morgans Hotel Group’s latest glamorously surreal property, designer Benjamin Noriega-Ortiz has taken inspiration from the Garden of Eden. The heavenly lobby features soaring fluffy cloud lighting fixtures, while the Red Bar is all about temptation; flirty cherubs on the ceiling fly over the sensual blood red sectionals and trays of plastic apples. The black-as-night Skybar (above) is created with fallen angels in mind. Models sip vodka-infused champagne cocktails under a starry sky. In the 194 rooms, good and evil is the theme, with large black leather cubes, toile accent pillows and Phillippe Stark “Louis Ghost” chairs.
